Starting on March 18, 2021, the recently announced ticketed event A Touch of Disney will be coming to Disney California Adventure! Taking place in select outdoor areas of Disney California Adventure, the event will take place Thursday through Monday from 12pm to 8pm.
We’re going to get into the need to knows of the event and the details around the different things that will be available. The TL:DR? A Touch of Disney will offer up iconic food and drinks from around the Disneyland resort, character meets, and unique photo ops for a $75 price tag.
A Touch of Disney
The food! Guest favorites like DOLE Whips, churros, and the Monte Cristo Sandwich are back. According to the Disney Parks Blog post on the event, many of the food items that will be available will be snack-sized (think Food & Wine Festival sizes.) Smaller sizes means a chance to try a bunch of different snacks throughout the day – stretchy sweatpants, on!
Food and drinks will be available at several different locations around DCA including:
-
Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats
-
Cocina Cucamonga
-
Smokejumpers Grill
-
Award Wieners
In addition to other locations being open for food and drinks, you can expect to see six seasonally-themed open-air marketplaces too! While we don’t know what these marketplaces are, we can’t wait to eat at every single one of them.
One thing to note between the Touch of Disney food offerings and the current available Buena Vista Street options – there will be an assortment of both classic and specialty menu items from around the entire resort available at the event! Specialty and classic items will be available at the open-air markets as well as outdoor dining locations.
Certain characters will also be out and about for guests looking for some character interaction! Mickey Mouse and friends will be hanging around as well as Pixar faves like Joy, Sadness, Lightning McQueen and Mater.
Now for the bad news. With this new event starting up, Buena Vista Street will only be open as an extra addition to Downtown Disney until March 14. Starting on March 18, Buena Vista Street will solely be part of A Touch of Disney.
Need to Knows
Tickets will be $75. This includes admission to the event, parking for the event at the Mickey & Friends parking structure, a $25 A Touch of Disney dining card that is valid towards food and non-alcoholic drinks, and unlimited downloads of any Disney PhotoPass pictures taken on the day of the event.
Tickets will go on sale starting March 4, 2021 (no word on the release time of day yet,) for select days from March 18 to April 5, 2021. After that, tickets for the event will be released for dates on a rolling basis until the end of the event.
For those of you who’re dining fans, keep in mind that table reservations for Carthay Circle Lounge and Lamplight Lounge (alfresco dining) will be opening up on March 11, 2021. Reservations don’t provide admission to A Touch of Disney! So you’ll need to make sure that you have a ticket for the event on the day that you have a reservation.
And with health and safety in mind, the event will be operating with a limited capacity and “enhanced health and safety measures in place based on guidance from health authorities”.
