Walt Disney World Resort will be offering new Annual Passes April 20th 2023! While it’s a reason to celebrate for some, many are left wondering if an Annual Pass is still worth it; and which Annual Pass they should buy.

Perfecting the Magic is breaking down each tier to help you decide!

DISNEY PIXIE DUST PASS (FLORIDA RESIDENTS ONLY) $399 + TAX

Florida residents can pay a lump sum of $205 followed by 12 monthly installments of $19/month (Renewal Price: $339 + tax)

The Disney Pixie Dust Pass comes with limitations worth noting, including many blackout dates. You can find them here, but generally speaking, weekends, holidays, and spring break visits are out of the question.

With all weekends and major holidays blocked at this tier, we think it could use a bit more pixie dust sprinkled on top! That isn’t to say that you can’t make the most of this pass.

If you’re a Florida resident and your schedule is flexible enough to visit on weekdays, it’s a practical choice that allows you to Park Hop and book three park reservations at a time.

Theme park parking and discounts on food and merchandise are included as well. Disney promises bonus days and exclusive resort options, too!

VISITS REQUIRED TO BREAK EVEN ON PASS VALUE

Three 1 day park tickets OR Two 1 day Park Hopper tickets.

DISNEY PIRATE PASS (FLORIDA RESIDENTS ONLY) $749 + TAX

Florida residents can pay a lump sum of $205 followed by 12 monthly installments of $50/month

The Disney Pirate Pass offers more flexibility while keeping the Florida residency requirement in place. This pass includes most weekends and fewer blackout dates. You can find the calendar here—you’ll see that peak holiday and vacation times are unavailable at this tier.

You’ll still have lots of park day/Park Hopper options, amazing discount offers, free parking, and the ability to book four standing reservations at a time.

The Disney Pirate Pass is a great option for treasure-seeking locals that prefer to avoid the busiest crowds of the year and like the flexibility that weekend visits offer.

VISITS REQUIRED TO BREAK EVEN ON PASS VALUE

Five 1 day park visits OR three 1 day Park Hopper tickets.

DISNEY SORCERER PASS (FLORIDA RESIDENTS/DISNEY VACATION CLUB (DVC)) $969 + TAX

Florida residents can pay a lump sum of $205 followed by 12 monthly installments of $69/month

The Disney Sorcerer Pass brings an enchanted option to Florida residents and Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members alike!

With few blackout dates, except during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, this pass allows for five standing reservations and tons of flexibility. This tier comes with all the parking, Hopping, and discount perks you’d expect, too!

VISITS REQUIRED TO BREAK EVEN ON PASS VALUE

Six 1 day park tickets or four 1 Day Park Hopper visits.

DISNEY INCREDI-PASS (OPEN TO ALL) $1399 + TAX

Florida residents can pay a lump sum of $205 followed by 12 monthly installments of $108/month

The Disney Incredi-Pass offers Elastigirl-level flexibility! With no blackout dates and the ability to hold up to five park reservations at a time, this tier is the most expensive, but offers the most access.

All Disney World Annual Passes include theme park parking and savings of up to 20% on select dining and merchandise. Special deals on resort stays and “bonus days” will be offered throughout the year.

PhotoPass and Water Park options may be added for additional fees, and it’s worth noting that the Incredi-pass is the only tier available to everyone, without residency or DVC requirements.

VISITS REQUIRED TO BREAK EVEN ON PASS VALUE

Nine 1 day park tickets or six 1 day Park Hopper visits.

BUT, IS A DISNEY WORLD ANNUAL PASS WORTH IT?

Some certain luxuries and benefits come from being a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, but is it worth it, and which pass should you buy?

It depends.

Are you a Florida resident? A DVC Member? If not, your only option is an Incredi-Pass, and it’s the most expensive Annual Pass available.

Generally speaking, a Walt Disney World Annual Pass becomes worth it if you’re planning on spending more than two weeks’ worth of days at the parks, or you spend a significant amount on Disney resorts, merchandise, and food. If this doesn’t apply to you, paying a daily ticket rate as you go may make more sense.

Our advice is that you consider how often you’re able to visit. If you’re planning on spending fourteen (or more) days in the parks a year, an Annual Pass is an easy choice.

If not, don’t stress it! Disney is meant to be fun. There are going to be plenty of experiences to enjoy throughout Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, and everyone at Perfecting the Magic is excited to see you navigating the parks in style, however you choose.

Will you be buying an Annual Pass this year? Let us know!
