Buena Vista Street will be opening up on November 19, 2020! Shared in a post on Disney Parks Blog, this will extend the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland into part of Disney California Adventure for select shopping and dining experiences.
As we previously shared, certain restaurants and shops will be open to guests along Buena Vista Street. Reminiscent of an old-time Los Angeles neighborhood, Buena Vista Street will play host to Disney dining and plenty of holiday shopping opportunities. Shops like Elias & Co, Julius Katz & Sons, Kingswell Camera Shop, and Trolley Treats will all be open.
Carthay Circle Restaurant will be debuting the Carthay Circle Lounge, which is an all-new outdoor dining space. A “new seasonal menu of Mediterranean-California light fare, with small plates that can be shared or enjoyed separately” will be introduced. Dishes like the Carthay shrimp roll, an artisan cheese board, and choices for kids like orange dragon chicken skewers are all ready to be served up.
Another important detail shared is the fact that starting on November 19, there will be a $10 fee per car for parking in the Simba Lot of the Downtown Disney District. A limited number of guests will be allowed into the downtown area to further promote physical distancing and Disney may implement use of the mobile wait list system when either Buena Vista Street or its queue hit capacity.
The mobile wait list system is similar to the process that shopping locations in the downtown district have been using. The mobile wait list typically involves a guest putting their name and phone number into the queue so they receive a text when they’re able to return!
Disney Parks Blog also mentioned that “more holiday happenings” will be coming soon!
