Disney’s Cruella is here! The blockbuster film featuring Emma Stone as the iconic fashion-forward villain has arrived, and with it came a ton of merch! One of the most high profile releases paired with the film is the Disney Cruella Collection by MAC. When describing the new line Terry Barber, MAC Director of Makeup explained, “it’s high glam with plenty of attitude, brought to a new generation.” The MAC collection features 9 new products to celebrate the devilish woman, Cruella Deville.
Eyes
When crafting the products, the team at MAC visited the films set to work with the makeup artists one on one. Nadia Stacey is responsible for creating Emma Stone’s looks for the movie. The award winning makeup artist said she had a vision for “an eyeshadow palette about being the version of who you want to be that day.” The Cruella to be Kind ($45) 8-pan palette comes in a sharp black and white box and features cool toned colors. The 8 colors come in satin and shimmery finishes and the palette breaks apart into 4 pieces holding 2 colors each.
Shade Description: Gesso: Vivid white (Matte), De Villionaire: Silver (Frost), Need For Tweed: Grey lilac (Satin), Crue Love: Vivid blue red (Frost), Carbon: Intense rich black (Matte), Chilliin’ Like a Villain: Bright blue (Matte), Cruella To Be Kind: Warm pink neutral (Matte), Sinister Shimmer: Black with gold sparkle (Frost)
Stacey explained that a key element of Cruella’s edgy ‘70s London look is the eyeliner. The basis of the eye makeup is “a dark pencil, a dark pewter eyeshadow and white eyeshadow.” She also added that to achieve the punk look seen in the film, make sure you are “pulling [the eyeliner] straight out. It’s all blended out straight out, and then you want lashes.” To get this look you’ll want to get your hands on the Pro Longwear Dual Ended Eye Liner ($26) from the collection. This dual eyeliner is long lasting with a creamy, dense color.
Shade Description: De-Vinyl: White, Tightly Laced: Black
Skin
Add a flush to your cheeks with the Powder Blush Duo ($31). This product is two tonal with a pink and neutral shade. Use one or the other or mix the two for a custom shade. The stars of a Cruella look are the eyes and lips, so if that’s what you’re aiming for, use the blush sparingly for just a highlight of color.
Shade Description: Tickled Punk: Bright pink, Cruel-La Intentions: Neutral
Lips
“A killer red lip” is an essential for a Cruella look according to lead makeup artist Nadia Stacey. Emma Stone’s bold red lips have been plastered all over the internet showing off the look for young Cruella. The MAC collection offers 2 different types of lipstick in a total of 6 red shades!
MAC’s popular bullet Matte Lipstick ($21) is available in 3 limited edition “punk rock red” shades inspired by the villainess. This is the formula MAC claims made them famous, so you know it’s going to be good.
Shade Description: De Vil in the Details: bright red, Sweet-N-Vicious: light pink, Camden Caper: blood red
If liquid lipstick is more your style, try out the Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour ($25). This long wear lipstick is also available in 3 limited edition shades to help achieve a bold look.
Shade Description: Glamarchy: blood red, Mayhemmed: red, Queen of Mean: brownie pink neutral
