Have you Disneybounded before? Let’s start with the basics. You take inspiration from any Disney character and style a real clothes fashion interpretation of their look. You’ll often see the parks full of folks rocking their bounds – and half the fun is shouting “I love your Disneybound!” when passing by. Now let’s get you in on the action!
In honor of May the 4th Be With You we’re styling a perfect low-key jedi look to move your from bounding padiwan to jedi master.
the vest
The single most important piece in your bound is the jedi robe. Robes are absolutely iconic when it comes to jedi fashion so if you spend your budget anywhere it should be here. For our interpretation we opted for a flowing vest that sells all the drama of an actual set of robes. We styled the 3.1 Philip Lim Long Vest Dress – it’s perfect length, comfy pockets and cinch at the waist buttons make it a divine bounding pick. We also love this faux suede vest from BCBG and the more budget friendly pick from Venus.
3.1 Philip Lim Vest
Farfetch $448
BCBG Paige Chambray Long Vest
BCBG $99
Belted Sleveless Duster
Venus $18
the jumpsuit
A jedi needs to be ready to duel at a moment’s notice. Instead of a set of bulky pants and long top we brought jedi style to 2020 with an olive green utility jumpsuit (which also makes for incredibly comfy park wear.) We styled a Mint & Wasabi Jumpsuit (sadly no longer available) but we’ve pulled several options that are perfect swaps. This Urban Outfitters Zip Jumpsuit has fresh off planet vibes. If you’re looking for extra pockets to store your lightsaber try this cotton jumpsuit from Free People. Our budget friendly pick is this fantastic Banana Republic Jumper in cindered olive green.

Free People Go West Utility Jumpsuit
Bloomingdales, $148
BR Utility Jumpsuit

shoes
While boots are the traditional jedi garb we just can’t pull ourselves away from the white sneaker trend. Swapping in a leather sneaker over canvas gives the subtle homage to boots without all the bulk. These Common Projects low tops were our styling pick and also happened to be ultra comfortable while racking up over 10k steps. Want something a bit closer to a boot? Try the middle ground, the perfect high top sneaker from Rag & Bone. We also found a great steal on these Kenneth Cole leather sneakers that make them an affordable option.

ACCESSORIES
We finished off our look with a Marseille brown leather bag that feels classically jedi and is also incredibly well made. Not a fan of totes? Pick up this so very Rey suede backpack from Free People. For a lower priced option this 3 zip crossbody we found on Amazon delivers crossing the sands of Tatooine vibes on a dime.

This is incredible. Any thoughts for men?
So many! I’d love to do a whole post soon for men’s fashion.
When it comes to this outfit I actually think so much of the look is unisex – I’d swap to a male jumpsuit and then take a hunt around for a vest (depending on your sizing.) I think a lot of these vests could be styled for men OR women and the same with the sneakers and bag!
