While the tickets are scheduled to be dropped no earlier than 9 am Pacific Time, it’s best to have your dates selected and be ready to pounce ASAP! Now, let’s get into the Oogie Boogie Bash event details!
Immersive Treat Trails Complete with Villains
The Treat Trails at the Oogie Boogie Bash offer a level of ghoulish immersion that is simply unmatched! Featuring rare characters and villains, guests can expect to experience personal interactions and photo-taking opportunities with their diabolical faves while they score handfuls of assorted candy and treats, including M&Ms, Skittles, and Snickers! Disney provides each guest with an empty treat bag at the start of the night and offers allergy-friendly treats along every trail to those who prefer them, too.
Previous Treat Trail villains have included Oogie Boogie himself, complete with Nightmare Before Christmas theming and a general dark casino vibe. If we were betting people, and we totally are, we’re putting it all on black and letting it ride because we know Oogie Boogie will be donning his buggy best this year, and we can’t wait to see him!
Beyond Boogie, you’ll likely find Cruella de Vil, The Mad Hatter, Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Sid from Toy Story, Dr. Facilier, and others along the trails. We’re excited to see who makes an appearance this year, and highly recommend making the treat trails a priority during your visit—they’re truly outstanding and make the event a standout that Disneyland fans look forward to visiting!
Rare Meet and Greets
The Oogie Boogie Bash is so special because it’s themed to the ceiling, and considering the ‘ceiling’ is the autumn night sky, it’s pretty amazing. You never know who you’ll meet at the ‘Bash, but we’ve met so many characters there, including Hades and Meg, Anastasia and Drizella, Loki, Captain Marvel, Thor, Lightning McQueen, Mater, Woody, Jessie, King Richard, Chip, Dale, Goofy, Donald, and Mickey & Minnie in their Halloween best! There’s something special about experiencing Disneyland with this many characters walking around, making it an event worth attending year after year.
Villains Grove at Redwood Creek
Do you love vibes? How about fully immersive experiences so visually stunning that they take you out of yourself and fill you up to the brim with the Halloween spirit? That’s Villains Grove! While you won’t find treats or meet and greets there, you will find projections, sounds, special effects, and what Disney calls “a dreamlike world that unfolds in a series of scenes, each creating a hauntingly beautiful space of color, sound, light, and shadow, as stories emerge from the darkest night to create an enchanting world.” You can’t really beat that!
A quick tip: We recommend ending your night at Villains Grove as wait times during peak times can get a bit long. We prefer to enjoy the Grove at our own pace without peak crowds and wait times, and find it’s the perfect way to close out the night at the ‘Bash.
Mickey’s Trick and Treat Show
What if we told you that you could spend part of your evening with a costumed Mickey, Minnie, and a mad scientist? You can with Mickey’s Trick and Treat Show! Featuring two original songs, projections, and guest appearances from Donald and Goofy (and a few ghosts!), this show is perfect for families. It offers wholesome fun that centers around a cute, entertaining story that kids will especially enjoy. The show is about 15 minutes long, and it can also be a great way to escape the heat!
The Frightfully Fun Parade
The Frightfully Fun Parade, led by the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow, is filled with cavalcades, characters, dancers, and haunts who want nothing more than to entertain you! Floats include The Nightmare Before Christmas’ Jack Skellington, Sally, Zero, the Pumpkin King, the Mayor of Halloween Town, The Haunted Mansion’s Bride, Grim Grinning Ghosts, and Disney villains who emerge from the mist to scare up some mischief! The parade is spectacularly done and is one of Disneyland’s best. We consider it a can’t miss at any Oogie Boogie Bash and think everyone will find something about it that they love.
The Oogie Boogie Bash Vibes
Finally, the best parts of the Oogie Boogie Bash must be experienced in person to be fully appreciated. From the ability for adults to wear costumes into the parks, to the façade of Carthay Circle and Buena Vista Street illuminating with a ghoulish (bat-filled) glow, to unlimited PhotoPass photo opportunities and specialty food and beverage offerings, it’s an event that’s truly unlike any other, and one the PTM team highly recommends!
