Here’s How Disneyland is Changing Toontown

About

Disneyland Resort is making some big changes to Toontown — here are the top five things to know.

  1. After its year-long closure, Mickey’s Toontown will reopen in 2023 with new offerings and, in some areas, a new look.
  2. Disney has promised that the land will be greener and more spacious, with more areas for families to play and relax together, including new interactive play spaces. CenTOONial Park is one example of this!
  3. The big, new attraction we’re getting as part of the Toontown reimagining is Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. This is already a ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but Disney has promised it will have some enhanced elements and a completely different entrance in Disneyland.
  4. Attractions like Gadget’s Go Coaster, Goofy’s House, and Donald’s Boat will be “reimagined,” though Disney hasn’t specified how yet.
  5. Mickey’s House, Minnie’s House, and Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin are here to stay.
