Register for Your Walt Disney World Honeymoon

Famous Disney Couples dance to celebrate Disney World Honeymoons

Sure, getting a coffee maker is nice, but did you know you can register for your Walt Disney World honeymoon? You can! Allow your wedding guests to buy Disney experiences for you in advance of your honeymoon through your personal Disney Honeymoon Registry.

You’ll find a sample registry here; making your registry take minutes and allows you to request meaningful Walt Disney World honeymoon experiences like specialty cruises on WDW waterways, Sea Tours at EPCOT, Disney Vacation Club Memberships and more. The best part? You can register for the basics like park tickets, resort hotel stays, and even snacks! Our minds were a little blown when we realized we could register for Dole Whip, and we just might consider registries of our own for special events like birthdays—because, why not?

EPCOT Tour offered as a luxurious Disney World honeymoon

We think the ability to register for so much of your Walt Disney World honeymoon, both big and small, is incredibly useful. Many wedding guests like to feel as though they’ve bought you something specific, and by offering such a wide range of options, every budget is considered. Your Aunt will love knowing you swam with dolphins because of her, and your fiancé’s cousins will enjoy seeing the churros they bought you on your IG stories!

Book a Luxury Walt Disney World Hotel Stay for Your Honeymoon

What would a luxury honeymoon at Walt Disney World be without opulent amenities, tranquil pools, and a gorgeous newlywed suite to call home? We’re sharing our top two picks!

The Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort

Four Seasons Hotel at Disney World Pool

The Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World is in a league of its own, and makes for an ideal Disney honeymoon. The grounds are immaculate, the pools are plentiful, and the lazy river provides a relaxing afternoon with no effort at all. While the Four Seasons Orlando comes with a luxury price tag, the cost per night isn’t far removed from deluxe Disney resorts, which is why it received our top hotel recommendation.

Consider booking a theme park view to get a fantastic vantage point for the nightly fireworks, as you look out at Spaceship Earth and Cinderella Castle. Order dinner in and watch the display from your balcony, or visit Capa, their Spanish-inspired steakhouse for a romantic evening for two.

Chocolate Strawberries make the perfect Disney World Honeymoon dessert

You’d never need to leave the Four Seasons Orlando property to have the honeymoon of your dreams. But, when you do go to the parks, you’ll receive early park entry and a private shuttle service to and from the Disney World Parks that brought you to WDW in the first place.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

The Grand Floridian Lobby offers a great place to stay for your Disney Honeymoon

While there are newer deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World, something about Disney’s Grand Floridian feels unique and worthy of a luxury honeymoon at Walt Disney World. We think it’s the tiny touches that elevate this deluxe resort. The tiles featuring Cinderella’s silhouette, the landscaping, the convenient ferry and monorail transport, and the ability to walk to Magic Kingdom put the Grand Floridian firmly on our list.

Disney World Deluxe Resorts are increasingly offering perks such as late-night park hours that add to the romance and make the choice to book that much easier. This classic Disney World hotel is worthy of a Disney World honeymoon stay, especially if you’re looking to spend a lot of time in the parks.

The Grand Floridian is one of the most luxurious places to honeymoon at Disney World

Experience Fine Dining at Walt Disney World

Dinner at Jiko —The Cooking Place

Animal Kingdom Lodge for a Disney World Luxury Honeymoon

Jiko —The Cooking Place is a Walt Disney World dining fan favorite.

Located at Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Disney Food Blog calls Jiko “hands-down, one of the most romantic and delicious restaurants on Disney World property,” and we couldn’t agree more. The atmosphere is zen, and the gourmet cuisine is exceptional. If you’re still not convinced, Jiko has been closed for an extended period due to the pandemic, and when PTM learned that Jiko was reopening on February 17th, we immediately booked a reservation for opening night!

Jiko offers the perfect balance of flavors and vibes, and we think it’s an ideal addition to any luxurious honeymoon at Walt Disney World. Try the Oak Grilled Filet Mignon and a side of sumptuous mac and cheese—you’ll be happy you did.

Brunch at The Grand Floridian Café

Disney World Honeymoon Brunch with Mickey Pancakes at Grand Floridian

No romantic Disney World vacation is complete without stopping for brunch at The Grand Floridian Café! The vibes are suitable for anyone celebrating a special occasion, the service is impeccable, and the cuisine is comforting yet elevated. People go crazy for the chicken and waffles with Sriracha-Honey Drizzle, but our fav? That would be the Madagascar Vanilla Bean-scented Brioche French Toast!

We can’t get enough, and since Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa grounds are breathtaking, dining at the Grand Floridian Café is an experience. Dine outside and enjoy the spectacular views, or take the ferry over to Magic Kingdom when you’re done with your meal. Even when crowds are at their peak, the surroundings make you feel like you’re in a storybook, and it’s a special slice of relaxation that every honeymoon at Walt Disney World needs.

Small Plates and Specialty Cocktails at Nomad Lounge

Luxury Dining Experiences for Disney World Honeymoons at the Nomad Lounge

At PTM, we love Animal Kingdom, and Nomad Lounge is an essential stop in our books. It’s our only dining recommendation that requires a park ticket, and we still think it’s worth it if you have an interest in AK. The lounge itself takes you out of reality and places you in a warmly lit, effortlessly cool space that beckons you to relax and unwind. This is why we consider it the perfect Walt Disney World honeymoon spot.

Cozy up together and split small plates of Tiffins Bread Service with red pepper hummus. Or, dig into some churros and impossible beef sliders, and toast to your nuptials with matching Lamu Libation cocktails. The banana rum and guava puree-filled cocktail shouldn’t be missed—it’s the perfect complement to any romantic evening at the Nomad Lounge.

Cakes Slices To-Go from Gideon’s Bakehouse

Gideons Bakehouse Cookies and Cake

While the thick chocolate-chip coated cookies of Gideon’s Bakehouse get a lot of (well-deserved!) love, hear us out when we recommend you give their phenomenal cake slices a try instead. We think there’s no better way to celebrate a honeymoon at Walt Disney World than to tuck into bed with a piece of rich chocolate cake. The offerings at Gideon’s Bakehouse rotate every day of the week, so no matter your interest, you’re bound to leave satisfied. Just make sure to stock some almond milk in your mini-fridge—you’re going to need it!

Lakeside Dole Whip (with a view!) at the Pineapple Lanai

Disney World Honeymoon Dole Whip

Sure, you can get Dole Whip all over Walt Disney World. But for our money, there is no more vibey and perfect a location to get your Dole Whip fix than the Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! Choose a seasonal flavor or OG pineapple, then watch the castle off in the distance from the beach. If you time it right, you can enjoy the nightly fireworks too. The atmosphere is relaxed and utterly romantic, and it’s the closest feeling you can get to being in Hawaii while still on the mainland. It’s the perfect lowkey Disney World honeymoon spot, and shouldn’t be overlooked.

Indulge in Spa Treatments During Your Walt Disney World Honeymoon

When we selected our hotel and resort recommendations, relaxation and ease of entry to the theme parks were at the top of our minds. Spa treatments closely followed, as anyone who has planned a wedding knows how necessary it is to unwind after the big day.

That’s why we’re closing out our luxury Disney World honeymoon recommendations with two spas from the hotels we’ve already suggested. Four Seasons Resort Orlando offers a spectacular sounding “La Floridian” treatment that we’re dying to try, and not to be outdone, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa provides indulgent hot stone massages that sound perfect for a honeymoon at Disney. You can’t go wrong either way, as they’re ideal additions to any Walt Disney World luxury honeymoon registry!
