June kicks off Gay Pride Month, a yearly celebration of equality and visibility for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals. Started with a single NYC march in 1970 to commemorate the Stonewall riots, LGBTQ Pride month has evolved into a month-long global event. (For more information on pride, check out the GLAAD website!)
