It’s that time again. The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival has begun! The fest runs from March 2nd 2022 through July 4th 2022, and it’s one of our faves! With lush landscaping, topiaries of Disney characters, and can’t miss treats, it’s easy to see why this festival is so popular. To celebrate the launch of the fest, we’re sharing the best food at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival so you can make the most of your visit by spending less time in line and more time taking pictures!
Let the EPCOT foodie adventures begin!
2022 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival Food Basics
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival food booth hours run from 11am to park closing. Some booths may close early (or open late) depending on availability. It’s essential to have some flexibility so you don’t leave hungry. Having a plan of the foods and sights you want to taste and see will make your day easier, as will arriving with your own plastic tray.
We highly recommend buying a plastic tray to carry your food around the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Seating can be limited, and a tray allows you to create a dining space wherever you can find room. A theme park ticket and reservation at EPCOT are required to enjoy the Flower & Garden Festival, so be sure to plan your dates ahead of time, as weekends can draw large crowds.
Given that the 50th Anniversary Celebration is so popular, we recommend securing your park reservation in advance. That said, be sure to check the updated calendars for availability, as some dates can be booked on short notice.
Food and beverage purchases are separate from EPCOT admission and can add up quickly, so be sure to come prepared for unexpected expenses. Alcohol purchases will only be served to guests who are 21 and over, so pack your ID just in case you need it.
The Food Booths at EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival
The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival features food booths from around the globe. Some outdoor kitchens are more popular than others, but we’ve found that every booth has a standout dish (or two!) that shouldn’t be skipped. We’ve taken the guesswork out of choosing and are sharing our picks for the best food at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival with PTM readers. To help you plan, we’ve included EPCOT food photos from phenomenal content creators, and highlighted our top picks (with reviews!) so you can plan your eats at a glance!
Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market at the Germany Pavilion
PTM Recommends: The Toasted Pretzel Bread topped with Black Forest Ham and Melted Gruyère Cheese
Why we love it: The toasty pretzel bread offers a salty and savory feel that is elevated by the black forest ham and melted gruyere cheese. It’s perfectly shareable because of its richness and pairs beautifully with an Apfelschaumwein sparkling wine and apple liqueur.
Cider House: Near the United Kingdom Pavilion
PTM Recommends: The Dark Chocolate Raspberry Tart with Whipped Cream
Why we love it: The decadent dark chocolate raspberry flavor seamlessly melts with whipped cream to create a mousse-like effect. The punchy raspberry offers a fresh kick to the richness of the chocolate.
While you can get an assortment of hard ciders at the Cider House, we found that the dessert didn’t match the drink offerings as well as we would have liked. Stick with the chocolate tart. It’s one of the better desserts at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival this year.
The Citrus Blossom
PTM Recommends: The Grapefruit Tart with Lemon Curd and Lychee Jam
Why we love it: This gorgeous citrus-heavy tart resembles a sunflower and the lychee jam provides enough of a twist to keep you going back for more. We recommend pairing it with the orange sunshine wine slushy to round out the brightness. Truly one of the cutest foods at the 2022 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!
EPCOT Farmer’s Feast
PTM Recommends (from the Early Bloom Menu – March 2nd through April 9th 2022): The Chilled Potato and Leek Soup “Vichyssoise” with Chive Oil and Crispy Leeks
Why we love it: This soup is chilled, smooth, refreshing, and completely satisfying. It’s an amazing value, and the chive oil adds a level of dimension to the dish that we can’t get enough of.
Upcoming EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival food recommendations from this booth include:
- Springtime Menu – April 10th through May 21st, 2022: The Strawberry Rhubarb Upside-down Cake with Crème Fraîche Whipped Cream
- Summer Solstice Menu – May 22nd through July 4th, 2022: The Whole Lotta Melon Feta Cheesecake with Watermelon Curd, Pickled Watermelon Rind, Watermelon Caramel, and Compressed Watermelon.
While we haven’t tested the options that will debut later in the fest, these two picks have piqued our interest!
Flavor Full Kitchen
PTM Recommends: The Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with Savory Garlic Spread
Why we love it: Featuring plant-based butter, this treat is vegan, but you’d never know it. The rich taste of butter and corn mix perfectly with the garlic spread making for an unbeatable flavor profile!
Fleur de Lys: France Pavilion
PTM Recommends: The Beignet Caramélisé with Fourré Crème Vanille, Glacé au Caramel Fleur de Sel
Why we love it: this caramelized beignet is filled to the brim with delicate vanilla cream and is enrobed in a salted caramel that had us wishing we bought two!
Hanami: Japan Pavilion
PTM Recommends: Frushi — strawberry, pineapple, and cantaloupe wrapped in sweet rice and pink soy served with whipped cream, berry sauce and toasted coconut
Why we love it: This is one of those dishes that makes us return to Flower & Garden again and again. We love this dish’s fresh fruity flavors and think it truly embodies the best foods at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival. Pair it with some Ozeki pineapple Nigori sake, and your day will get better with every bite and sip!
The Honey Bee-stro: Near Port of Entry
PTM Recommends: The Tupelo Honey and Sweet Corn Spoon Bread with Jalapeños, Bacon and House-made Whipped Honey Butter
Why we love it: Imagine a sweet and savory cornbread, now add house made whipped honey butter and a punchy kick of jalapeños! Toss in a bit of bacon and you have something quite special on your hands. It may seem simple, but it just might surprise you!
Jardin de Fiestas: Mexico Pavilion
PTM Recommends: The Taco Vampiro: Barbacoa Beef in a Corn Tortilla with Crispy Grilled Monterey Jack Cheese, Salsa Ranchera and Esquites
Why we love it: The cheesy exterior of the shell is beyond delicious, and is a perfect complement to the barbacoa beef. It pairs beautifully with a poppy flower margarita, and was one of our absolute favorites!
La Isla Fresca: Between Morocco and France
@thelostbros EPCOT FINALLY HAS AREPAS CON QUESO AT THE ENCANTO BOOTH #encanto #wedonttalkaboutbruno #epcot #flowerandgardenfestival #distok #distokfam
♬ GRANDKID ROUNDUPP – khoi
PTM Recommends: The Arepas, Topped with Melted Queso Fresco and the Coconut Tres Leches Cake
Why we love it: We’ve heard the simplicity of the queso arepas make these a standout, and the plant-based vegan vanilla cake soaked in oat milk, almond milk and coconut milk sounds simply divine!
Lotus House: China Pavilion
PTM Recommends: The Spicy Mala Chicken Skewer and Tang Dynasty Cocktail
Why we love it: The chicken skewer offers a balanced taste and a much-needed dose of protein after you’ve spent the day walking around the parks. Add on a strawberry Piña Colada with boba pearls and you have yourself a nice little moment on your hands!
Magnolia Terrace: American Adventure Pavilion
PTM Recommends: You sit this one out. We weren’t wowed by anything we tried and think your money is better spent at other booths and kitchens.
Why we (don’t) love it: For the best EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival food, look elsewhere.
Northern Bloom: Canada Pavilion
PTM Recommends: The Beef Tenderloin Tips, Mushroom Bordelaise Sauce and Whipped Potatoes with Garden Vegetables
Why we love it: This dish reminds of Sunday meals with our grandparents and that’s obviously high praise. Comforting and balanced, the tenderloin is tender and the veggies and potatoes are perfect!
Pineapple Promenade: Near Port of Entry
PTM Recommends: The Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade
This non-alcoholic, Instagram-ready lemonade is as beautiful as it is refreshing! It’s a crowd-favorite and for good reason. It’s almost too pretty to sip, but you’ll be glad you did.
Primavera Kitchen: Italy Pavilion
PTM Recommends: The Arancini
Why we love it: These little fried Risotto balls are stuffed with braised beef and served with a grape tomato salad and balsamic emulsion. A twist on the Italian classic, they offer a nice choice for less adventurous eaters.
Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina, Morocco Pavilion
PTM Recommends: The Mediterranean Flatbread with Za’atar, Artichokes, Olives, Mozzarella and Feta Cheese
Why (they) love it: The Disney Food Blog recently gave this flatbread high praise for having “feta in every bite”. They noted the crisp crust and fresh taste. We trust their review and believe it’s worth checking out!
Trowel & Trellis Hosted by Impossible™
PTM Recommends: The Boneless Impossible™ Korean Short Rib with Cilantro-Lime Rice, Danmuji Slaw and Kimchee Mayonnaise
Why we love it: This plant-based option tastes just like the real thing. Shockingly beefy, comforting and warming, this dish is as rich as it is satisfying. We highly recommend you check it out. It’s some of the best food at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!
