We thought we’d seen every variant on a Disney Princess costume imaginable… and then we ran into Liz, Kailey, Karissa and Victoria. Dressed as Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, and Sleeping Beauty, these gorgeous ladies wowed us with a witchy update to classic Disney princesses. We sat down with them to chat outfit inspiration, process, and parks!
Liz as Ariel, Kailey as Cinderella, Karissa as Aurora, Victoria as Jasmine
The ladies, connected by a shared love of Disney, cosplay, and in the case of Kailey and Karissa, a bond of sisterhood, took the opportunity to dress up to celebrate the Halloween season.
“We were inspired by an artist…Mahou Shoujo….who came up with this concept art last year,” shared Kailey. “We actually did dress up as some of those other characters she did last year, and then later on she started on drawing more female characters from Disney and we were like, we have to do this again!” Victoria added.

The costumes were handmade by the ladies, with each outfit taking nearly 3 weeks to complete. We’re so in love with these creative, modern twists on some of our favorite Disney Princesses! You can find this team cosplaying inside the parks during the fall season or spot them at Dapper Days – another event they create original outfits for.
