The Secret to Dining Last-Minute at Disneyland and Disney World

About

Disneyland and Walt Disney World dining reservations fill up wicked fast 60 days in advance. Often, if you’re looking to eat at a table-service restaurant last-minute, it can feel impossible to snag same-day reservations.

Don’t worry, Discrew, we’ve got your back. Here’s our secret to getting last-minute dining at Disneyland and Disney World.

Both the Disneyland app and My Disney Experience app share walk-up waitlist availability for popular locations like Nomad Lounge in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Oga’s Cantina in Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure. Unfortunately, guests are met with the bright orange “Walk-up Waitlist at Capacity” message far too frequently. Sure, you can refresh the app to try to snag a spot, but it’s not always the best way to get a last-minute reservation.

Instead, we just head straight to the restaurant in person and ask if it’s possible to get on the physical walk-up waitlist — not the digital one. Seriously! This has gotten us a table on several occasions when the Disney apps showed no availability. While you’re not guaranteed to get a table, it’s definitely worth a shot.
