Want to catch up on the latest Disney news? Here’s what you missed this week.

Disneyland and Walt Disney World fans can rejoice thanks to a new character meet-and-greet update from Disney executives. We just got word that face-to-face character interactions are coming back sometime soon. More on that here.

This week we also got updates on the previously announced Mary Poppins attraction at EPCOT and Avengers attraction at Disney California Adventure.
While it doesn’t sound like either of these attractions is completely canceled, it does sound like they won’t be opening anytime in the near future — at least, according to Disney CEO Bob Chapek.

In refurbishment news, over In Disneyland, Pirates of the Caribbean is down for scheduled maintenance and will reopen in June, and Toontown has officially closed for its magical reimagining. We also caught a sneak peek of the newly refurbished rooms at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, thanks to AllEars.
