Star Wars barely ever sees any rest in the headlines! We’ve got a bite-sized round-up of this week’s Star Wars news right here for you in one spot.
George Lucas Reportedly More Involved With Season 3 of The Mandalorian
George Lucas, creator of Star Wars, is reportedly “heavily involved” with the third season of The Mandalorian. Known to stop by the set of the show rather frequently, Lucas has been offering advice to Jon Favreau, creator and showrunner of The Mandalorian, seemingly since the beginning.
Clone Wars Favorite Possibly Making Live-Action Debut
There are rumors that another Clone Wars fan-favorite character will see a live-action debut. With the Ahsoka series following the titular Ahsoka Tano, it may stand to reason that fellow Clone Wars character Rex could make an appearance. For fans of the show, they’ll know that Rex was especially close to Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan , and Anakin Skywalker during the animated series’ long run.
In a recent episode of the Kessel Run Transmissions show, the hosts noted that there were several screen tests done on the set of The Mandalorian season 2 for various characters. They believe that one of the screen tests was Temeura Morrison doing a screen test for Rex as his armor was spotted on set.
(Note nothing is confirmed officially by Lucasfilm.)

An Emmy-winning writer, Waldron has served as head writer for the forthcoming Disney Plus series Loki and will also be writing the Marvel film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
As of the Deadline report on Waldron’s involvement, Disney has not commented.

In the interview, Burr had this to say on fans’ response to the character’s accent: “‘I’ve never heard a Boston accent in outer space’ is what they say. And I always just go like, ‘Oh, yeah? What about English? Isn’t that a little weird if you went to a galaxy far, far away and you get off and somebody’s like, ‘Hey, how’s it going?’ and you totally understand him?’”
