You’ve likely been cooking more than ever in the past few months, so what better time to add a new cookbook to your collection? When it comes to finding the perfect recipes to inspire us, we trust the chefs from Disney’s culinary team to lead us straight to delicious. Every once in a blue moon, Disney graces us with a heap of official recipes from the parks in the form of new cookbook releases. Here are two additions to the cookbook series, guaranteed to add some spice to your at-home menu!
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook
Jump straight into the kitchens of Galaxy’s Edge with this recently released cookbook. Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook is just as immersive as the experience of walking into Batuu. The chef penning the book introduces himself as Strono Tuggs, a century-old veteran of intergalactic culinary excellence, and away you go. While not cloning recipes you’ll find in the park; instead, the book delivers an array of food that feels genuinely “alien.” You’ll find everything from bright blue noodles to a bounty hunter’s “nutricake” food rations.
A note of warning: if you’re not prepared to scour the internet for some hard to find ingredients, you may find yourself frustrated by the book. The recipes take time and some dedication to prepare, but we found the results to be worth the effort. Down for the challenge of eating like a Batuu local? If so, the fun mix of Disney’s Black Spire Outpost, outer-worldly recipes, and Star Wars world development makes this book an incredible find for junkies of the franchise.

Marvel Eat the Universe: The Official Cookbook
Are you still crying over the final chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Us too, 3,000. While you binge-watch every Avengers movie on repeat dig into the upcoming cookbook: Marvel Eat the Universe: The Official Cookbook. A spin-off from the popular web cooking series hosted by chef Justin Warner, the book shares more than 60 recipes dreamed up from Marvel’s comic book history.
At first glance, we were skeptical of cooking up plates based on superheroes. Most of them probably eat chicken and broccoli seven days a week (how else would Captain America keep that six-pack?!). Expect dishes that look visually stunning and comic book-esque, not a culinary tour de force of the heroes’ worlds. Nevertheless, we’re excited to dig into the Phoenix Hot Chicken and Egg Bowl and Hulk Smashed Potatoes recipes. If nothing else, this book will deliver visual delights that will head straight to your Instagram feed.
The book releases on June 28, 2020. Pre-order it for $26.99 on Amazon and check back in July for our full review.
