What to Know About the New MagicBand+ Technology

Whether you’re a frequent Walt Disney World visitor or you’ve been on just a few trips in the past couple of years, you’re probably familiar with MagicBands, the all-in-one Disney wristband that allows you to access your theme park tickets, hotel room key, payment, and more, all on your wrist.

But what if we told you that this tech is getting an upgrade in 2022?

That’s right! The next generation of MagicBand technology — MagicBand+ — is coming to Walt Disney World (and Disneyland, believe it or not!) in 2022. In our latest TikTok, we’re going over exactly what this means. Based on what Disney has announced so far, there are a few features we know about for MagicBand+, like the wristbands lighting up when you enter the park, illuminating in sync with nighttime shows, interactivity with elements throughout the theme parks, and more.
