With a new month comes new additions to Disney Plus! October is chock full of spooky and not so spooky content that’s sure to get you through the month to Halloween. We’ve pulled together the entire list of new content coming to the platform and picked a few out that we’re extra excited to see rolling out this month.

October 30, The Mandalorian Season 2

Din Djarin and the Child return in the second season of The Mandalorian. Pedro Pascal is back as one of our favorite Mando’s, on the search for the Child’s people. With the promise of another interesting storyline and plenty of that lovely found family trope we saw so much of in season 1, we can’t wait to see all the Star Wars goodness at the end of the month.

October 9, X2

The second movie in the X-men movie series is finally making its way to Disney Plus. The famous team of mutants are back, having another series of superpowered problems to deal with as they always do. While it’s a bit of a throwback, especially compared to the last few X-men movies out in recent years, it’s time to give this one a rewatch!

October 16, Lost on Everest

Another National Geographic documentary is making its way to Disney Plus. Following the first explorers who ventured out to summit Mount Everest, this documentary has us ready to dive into the history of one of the world’s tallest peaks. Lost on Everest sets out to answer the question of “who was the first to summit Everest?” It’ll deliver a look at another part of the world if you’re feeling a little stuck at home! 

October 1, Maleficent 

Maleficent has made its way to Disney Plus early on this month! With Angelina Jolie starring in the titular role, we get to see the other side of the classic tale of Sleeping Beauty from Maleficent’s point of view as the heroine. We can’t wait to give this retelling of Maleficent’s story another watch.

October 16, Meet the Chimps

A new series premiering exclusively on Disney Plus will follow the chimps that call the Chimp Haven sanctuary home. From the trailer alone, we’re sure to be in for some fascinating looks at the lives of the chimps featured in the series! Chimp Haven is one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in the world, so we’re excited to get such a unique look inside at both the chimps and the humans that make the whole thing run.
