When is EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival Ending in 2020? Entrance to the festival indoor area.

10/16 Update: The Food and Wine Festival End Date has been announced for November 22nd, 2020.

2020 has been a strange year for festivals at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. EPCOT’s re-opening in July brought with it the Flower & Garden Festival (originally scheduled to run from March 4th through June 1st.) Flower & Garden merch was plentiful, but the event felt barebones compared to years prior.

Disney quickly flipped the switch and billed the event a “hybrid” festival and started rolling out new offerings as part of the Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. But, Food & Wine specific merch didn’t start appearing until late August.

Merchandise for EPCOT’s 2020 Food and Wine Festival appeared in mid August.

Enough to make your head spin yet?

The current state of things is lots of tasty food booths, plenty of merch (from both fests), and a scavenger hunt map featuring Remy from Ratatouille. The burning question of the moment really boils down to, “when is EPCOT’s Food and Wine festival ending?” The simple answer is that it’s a complete unknown. We spoke to several Disney employees, none of whom offered up any details on an exact end date for the event.

The best data we currently have: Disney has already publicly announced that with the holiday season of 2020, we’ll see the return of EPCOT’s International Festival of Holidays. The start date for that event is November 27th, 2020. Best guesses have the Food and Wine Festival running through November to help bolster crowds in the park.

The lack of clarity around an exact end date for Food and Wine is frustrating for travelers, but for now, we’ll keep our fingers crossed that the tasty offerings keep us fed all the way through November.
