The Happiest Place on Earth is about to get merrier! This year, Disneyland Resort in California officially begins celebrating the holiday season on November 12, and Christmas festivities will run through January 9, 2022.
But when can guests start to see those beautiful holiday decorations decking the halls of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure?
Believe it or not, holiday decorations have already begun popping up at Disneyland Resort. So far, we’ve seen the snowy rooftop installed on Sleeping Beauty Castle, as well as Christmas garland and other decorations covering Mickey’s Toontown. Guests have even spotted the giant Christmas tree backstage when walking along the tram route to and from the parks and the parking structures — the tree will soon be installed in Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A.
October 31 marks the official end of Disney’s Halloween Time celebrations at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, so beginning November 1 we will see the Christmas decorations gradually adorn the theme parks.
Also, note that the very first night of the all-new holiday after-hours event at Disneyland (Disney Merriest Nites) is on November 11, the day before the Holidays at Disneyland Resort officially begin. So, it’s safe to say that most of the decorations will be up by then. Keep in mind, though, that seasonal foods and beverages, entertainment like A Christmas Fantasy parade, and other offerings will not be available until November 12.
