Sometimes you need to indulge in the finer things in life. Whether you’re celebrating something big like a honeymoon or you’re simply in need of major rest and relaxation, Perfecting the Magic hopes to help make your trip to Walt Disney World as unforgettable as it is indulgent.
We’re covering everything from life’s little luxuries, such as the unexpected hidden local gems that will surprise you, to the unforgettable luxury hotel experiences that will help you feel utterly pampered.
LUXE ENTERTAINMENT
DISNEY’S SPECIALTY FIREWORKS CRUISE
Specialty nighttime fireworks cruises have returned to Walt Disney World. Offering magnificent (and romantic) views of Epcot’s Harmonious and Magic Kingdom’s Enchantment, these chartered cruises sail along Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon to offer unparalleled views and comfort for up to 10 guests.
Starting at $399 per person and featuring immersive details such as synchronized audio, themed décor, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks, these tours are a luxury worth indulging in, especially if you’re celebrating something special.
UNEXPECTED DINING LUXURIES, NEAR AND FAR
LINDA’S LA CANTINA
Despite Linda’s La Cantina Steakhouse being one of the very best restaurants in Orlando (and a local favorite), it doesn’t make many best-of Disney lists. While choosing a restaurant close to the parks makes practical sense, and undoubtedly many spectacular options exist on WDW property, this classic steakhouse brings something unique to the table.
The setting is vintage and closer to an Italian bistro than fine dining, but the food quality is superb. If you have a car with you or are open to a longer Uber or lift ride (that’s where the luxury part comes in!), Linda’s is worth the 25-minute drive. It doesn’t hurt that the checkered tablecloths make us feel straight out of Lady and the Tramp, either!
THE BOATHOUSE
The Boathouse is well-known and for good reason. Located in Disney Springs with waterfront views, this steakhouse and seafood bar makes for the perfect date night or evening with friends. The atmosphere is lively, and the complimentary bread cannot be overstated, as it’s spectacularly puffy, sweet, brioche-like, and glistening with butter.
We recommend the filet mignon sliders; they’re a surprisingly affordable choice that never fails to impress us. If you’re looking to go all out, they have fantastic seafood and steak options as well.
While these options rarely disappoint and offer accessible luxuries, if you’re truly looking for fine dining experiences at Walt Disney World, we highly recommend the Yachtsman Steakhouse, California Grill, Le Cellier, and Victoria and Alberts once they reopen.
THE CRÈME DE LA CRÈME
FOUR SEASONS RESORT ORLANDO AT WALT DISNEY WORLD
If we could recommend one luxury experience, it would be the Four Seasons Orlando at WDW. If you’re booking a honeymoon, an anniversary trip, or celebrating a milestone birthday, the Four Seasons Orlando is as luxurious as it gets.
The AAA Five Diamond Resort offers an immersive experience that feels worlds away from central Florida, even though it’s minutes from the parks by private shuttle. The park view rooms are a welcome indulgence with king beds, sprawling vistas, and views of Cinderella’s Castle and Epcot’s Spaceship Earth!
If you’re looking to pamper yourself further, their spa offers exceptional treatment therapies, including matcha and pumpkin body scrubs that leave you feeling completely smooth!
The immaculately groomed grounds, pool, and lazy river are as relaxing as they are Instagramable, and the in-house dining is second to none! From character breakfasts at Ravello to romantic rooftop dining at Capa, the Four Seasons Orlando is truly an all-encompassing experience that’s worthy of indulging in.
TINY LUXURIES
Everyone deserves to indulge. If your budget doesn’t allow for a luxury stay, private cruise, or filet mignon, you can always take part in some of the best treats the Walt Disney World resort has to offer. It’s essential to treat yourself now and again, and simple pleasures from Gideon’s Bakehouse cookies to Everglazed’s can’t miss artisan donuts provide their own brand of luxury.
