Your Weekly Disney World News Drop

About

Hey Discrew! We’re back at it with another weekly Walt Disney World news drop. Here’s what to know!

There’s so much going on at EPCOT — we’ve got to talk about it first!

Disney confirmed that the Cultural Representative Program will be returning this year, and Cast Members from around the globe will be back at the World Showcase starting this August. We also got word that the new, permanent location of Starbucks in the park will be located adjacent to the new Creations Shop in the Connections Café & Eatery that’s currently under construction.

Plus, there’s also some buzz around the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coaster construction. The new gift shop is getting a cool backstory — check it out here.

As for all the other parks, we’ve got some more updates! Minnie Vans are making a comeback starting this summer, Disney announced on TikTok. Some new Star Wars merchandise dropped at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, too — there’s a new Legacy Lightsaber that fans can purchase at Dok Ondar’s in Galaxy’s Edge. There were some wildly long lines to pick this one up!

Finally, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is getting a major upgrade. Disney announced that a new DVC expansion is coming to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in 2024, featuring new recreation and dining options for guests. Find the full scoop here.
