Hey Discrew! Perfecting the Magic is back again with another weekly Disney news update. Here’s everything that happened in Walt Disney World news this week.
First up, we have an unfortunate update for the Disney foodies. The Citrus Swirl has mysteriously disappeared from the menu on Sunshine Tree Terrace at Magic Kingdom. No word on if this is permanent!
Over at EPCOT, we may know the opening date for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. A Disney exec Tweeted (then deleted!) that the ride will be opening on Memorial Day Weekend. Still no updates from Disney since then, but we’ll be waiting for some official news.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be undergoing some refurbishments beginning March 1. Don’t worry, though, this shouldn’t impact your vacation too much!
In good news, Disney Genie+ got a bit of an upgrade for the spring and summer seasons. Space Mountain, Frozen Ever After, and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway are included in the $15 daily cost of Disney Genie+ instead of being extra individual Lightning Lane add-ons. This will last from now through August 7.
Excited for the return of entertainment? Us, too! The Festival of Fantasy parade showtimes have now been released in the My Disney Experience app. The show will make its return at 11:30 a.m. on March 9 and will run daily at 2:30 p.m. thereafter.
Finally, Disney broke down what guests can expect from the dining experiences onboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. We got new images and details on each of the dining locations! Read more here.
That’s a wrap! Be sure to follow us on TikTok for weekly Disney news live streams and daily theme park fun.
